the lines work pretty well! i am not very good at getting such shapes. i like the small details in the foreground and the smooth fading from dark to light into the background (i always fail with that. ). you could also do some highlights on the details in the same color as the sun has. and in my opinion there should be a bit more randomness in colors in the foreground to get things a bit more alive. i often just take a new layer and place some strokes in slightly different hues or values over some areas and sometimes really get surprised, because suddenly many different materials seem to appear, where there was just mud or stone before. so. thats what i think^^. i got the feeling it might be your experience as a designer, that makes it lots more easy for you to let everything fit together! greets and !
